Feeling Makati

Today I woke up feeling elated. I woke up earlier than usual. The heavy downpour of rain for the past few days and the knee-half high flood outside the boarding house didn’t make me feel sad. I’ve learned to walk in flats and I’ve grown the fondness of using an umbrella. I learned how to be waiting patiently for the jeepney’s queue. And I’m trying to learn the techniques in haggling with the cab drivers. And I now know how to make taray at anyone in Tagalog.

There are some things I cannot change but I surely can change my perspective.
