My new officemate was amazed that I was an engineering student back then. He presumed that all engineering grads are good in Algebra. He poked and insisted that I should help him with his problem. So I took a pen and paper and was ready to listen to his mathematical equation.
Then he started, "Can you substitute my x without asking me y?"
My teeth almost fell off, laughing.
