Slow. Slower. Slowest

I haven't written in weeks. Over those times, I had my stupid moments and laughed out loud with and at myslef till my tummy ached. I need not worry about crunches now because I got abs! Laughter, as Reader's Digest would quote, is still the best medicine.

Yesterday, we had an applicant. He was tall and handsome. He spoke excellent English, the crisp and aspirated foreign sounding English. When we looked at his resume, he spent ten years in college for one course, to my horror.

Since Ione, my officemate cum best friend, knew him back then, she confirmed that he was kinda slow. I was saddened by the thought that you can speak excellent English but has slow learning capabilities.

"Oh my gesh! You can be like that, di-ay?" I said with bewilderment.

Then Ione pointed her lips at me, as an example. I digressed and went back to my station.

It occured to me that she made me an example of a slow being with excellent communication skills. I paused. And paused again.

Then, after an hour of contemplating, I poked Ione and said, "Ions?" In my wettest sweetest voice and asked away, "Am I slow?"
