- Ria asked Rose to accompany her on a job interview. Rose got the job.
- I was trying to learn the Nobody dancesteps for months now not one single step had I memorized. Rain just watched the video while waiting for her friend had now memorized the dancesteps of the whole song.
- Manuel has been courting Sandy for years. He got disappointed. Sandy met Eric for just a couple of days. They are now lovers.
- Everyone cheated during the exam. I was the only one caught by our teacher.
- Greg was trying too hard to be faithful. His girlfriend cheated on him.
- I am paying my taxes diligently. The President and her entourage squandered it for dinner.
- Richard graduated with honors while Mike finished college for seven years. Richard took the board exams twice and failed. Mike is now a board topnotcher.
- I was trying to help a friend keep her job, I am now losing mine.

and squandered is right.. the money could have been spent on feeding the nation or housing the homeless.
