Counting My Blessings

Do you believe in blessings? Well, I do. Just this week, I fell short on my fifteen day budget. What usually has some change to spare days before payday came a counting machine of nickles and dimes.

Last Monday, I ate at Dr Frank's for free. An angel has fallen to bring me some good food.

Tuesday afternoon, my stomach was filled with an afternoon heavy snack. Thanks to a certain birthday girl.

Wednesday, my jeepney fare was spared both routes, to and from, the office because of two acquainted faces.

Thursday, a hearty dinner with a friend became heartier when she listened to my ramblings and she foot the bill.

Friday, a shoulder to lean on, a good time with an old friend, was all I needed.

Saturday, a new watch which I prayed for the longest time came.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? -- Matthew 6:25-27
