Things I've learned from Janice:
*Save. Always save not only for the rainy days. Even if we're both earning, I always borrow moolah from her. I'm amazed how she handles her finances. She never reads the business section of the newspaper (She wasn't even aware that United States was in recession until I've told her last Christmas) yet she managed to save a fortune enough for a six month hiatus.
*Don't dwell in the past. She is the only girlfriend I know who is cool with her ex after he left her with some other girl whom he got pregnant after dating a couple of months which she participated in his wedding after dating for a year whom she agreed to become a godparent to their daughter.
*Never be a afraid of rejection.
*It's okay to be single. As long as you have fabulous nails.
*Don't be afraid to be out there. Be willing to take risks.
*Take this simple law of attraction: If you like me then I could like you.
*Maximum tolerance. I'm really amazed how she had tolerated my nuances all these years. As my mother would say, if you can tolerate me, it's impossible you can't tolerate anyone else.
They say, surround yourself with positive people. There must be a positive cosmic energy that surrounds Janice that makes everything she does happy, light, healthy and problem free. Or simply, it's the old adage that goes, what you do unto others comes all back to you.
P.S. Jan, pautanga sah ko ha.
